ATC has designed a modular system of solar/LED lights to replace kerosene lamps. With over 2 billion people living without access to electricity, most lighting their homes with kerosene or candles, ATC has designed a bright lighting system that is less expensive than kerosene.

Note: The kerosene lamp in this kitchen (overhead) doesn’t show due to photo flash.

This family reports having enough energy from a 10 watt solar panel to run two lights for 4 hours per night and for 2 hours in the morning. We also installed an outlet in the system to charge cell phones.
ATC is now in the process of designing a family of solar lighting products so that customers can buy as much light as they need.
